Mass Incarceration in the U.S.

The U.S. incarcerates more people than any nation in the world and has the highest prison population

The US incarcerates more of its own people than any other country. Social control (on a national level) rooted in economic and racial oppression. Previous incarcerated persons struggle with voter suppression, housing and employment discrimination, educational deprivation, difficulties in job security.
